Birmingham women in Real Estate—two of ARC Realty’s brightest stars 🌟
ARC Realty is known for their top talent, and Lynlee Hughes (L) and Mechelle Wilder (R) are no exception.
Lynlee, named ARC Realty’s top performer in 2021, got her real estate license in 2014 and has had a robust career that started off with leasing apartments and has evolved into helping clients who are selling and buying homes. Mechelle is a founding partner of ARC and has 21 years of experience under her belt.
In honor of International Women’s Day, they’re giving us an inside peek at their journeys navigating the real estate world as women, mothers and top performers.
Meet Lynlee, the top performing super mom 💖
Lynlee has always been a first-rate saleswoman. She got her start right out of college selling shoes, and then transitioned to leasing apartments, earning her real estate license and finding her place at ARC Realty. Through every opportunity, her favorite part is always interacting with and serving her clients.
While building her career, Lynlee was also working on creating her family. After struggling with infertility, Lynlee was blessed with two daughters, Ruby and Annie.
“It took me so much to get my daughters here, that I knew I wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. Being able to wear both hats is super important to me, and the ability to fulfill a career and be there for them is something I actively work to manage. My most important role is to be their mom.”
—Lynlee Hughes, ARC Realty
She knows that the ARC Realty team has her back, and feels supported knowing that family always comes first.
ARC Realty founder Mechelle leads her team with empathy & grace 🙏
The youngest of 11 siblings, a pastor’s wife, mom of four, founding partner of ARC Realty, JD, Shelby County Chamber Chair-elect for 2023, a Trustee for Samford University, member of multiple boards and I could go on…
So, how does Mechelle Wilder do it all, while hitting major benchmarks like a personal closed volume of $20 million in 2021 and leading the ARC team to success? First, she is an incredibly hard worker and has an eagerness to learn. To date, she’s the only person I’ve ever met who went to Law School just for the knowledge.
Secondly, she draws upon her personal experiences as a mother, wife, businesswoman and founder to lead with grace and empathy, and is incredibly rooted in her faith. She likes to compare herself to the bumblebee.
“My faith is everything, and I like to always think of myself as a bumblebee. A bumblebee flies by faith. No one ever told a bumblebee it could not fly, it just decided it wanted to fly. Its butt is too big, its wings are too thin, but somehow it figured it out. So, I tell people to figure it out—you’re made for more, and you can do more.”
