See how you could win $80K at the 2021 Magic City Classic
Are you gonna be the big winner at the Magic City Classic? For the 80th anniversary of the Alabama A&M and Alabama State University game, one lucky fan will have a chance to win $80K. Half of the giveaway prize ($40K) will go to the winner and the other half will go to the winner’s team: Hornets or Bulldogs. Keep reading to find out more.
What is the Magic City Classic?
Did you know that the Magic City Classic is the largest historically Black college and university (HBCU) football game in the country? As a Huntsville native who lived near A&M, this game is huge. Not many fans are gonna miss this game.
Every year the two teams gather at Legion Field in Birmingham to duke it out. Then, the winner can earn a spot in the SWAC Championship, a football championship game. That’s BIG news. Also, there are all kinds of fun activities around the game including:
- The Classic Kickoff
- Magic City Parade
- A tailgale party
- The halftime show (arguably some of the best performances in Alabama)
Your chance to enter
Presented by McDonald’s Magic City Classic and Coca-Cola, this giveaway is a “thank you” for keeping the game bustlin’ for the last 80 years. So how can you be the winner of the $80K? We have all the deets on entering.
- Alabama Sports Council Office: Show up to the Alabama Sports Council from Oct. 21-29. All you have to do is enter your name, contact and eligibilty info.

- Reserved Ticket Holder (automatically AKA no additional action required): Have a reserved ticket? You’re already automatically enter. No prob!
- General Admission Ticket Holder: If you have a General Admission ticket, then you must enter onsite. Show up on Oct. 30 at Legion Field’s South End Zone Giveaway Window from 12:30pm until the end of the 1st Quarter.
Stay until the 2nd Quarter to hear the randomly selected winner. Remember the winner will get a $40K check and can choose which school—ASU or Alabama A&M—will receive the other$40K.
