It’s been an exciting week for the Magic City (well… isn’t every week?). This week we have five brand-new Birmingham openings + reopenings of businesses we already love for you to hit up this weekend. Keep reading to check ’em out!

1. Brick and Tin

The Birmingham classic, brick and tin, is officially making their way back to the heart of the city. After transitioning to bowl. in November of 2020, the restaurant, bar and bakery is officially back open for business starting on July 12. Don’t worry if you think you are going to miss your favorite menu item from Bowl.— there will still be select bowls on the brick and tin menu. Let’s welcome them back to downtown life, folks.

2. Boho Tea Bar

Where else could you find gourmet boba teas, lemonade, pastries and acaí bowls with locally sourced honey all in one place? Meet Boho Tea Bar, the newest drink spot in Alabaster. Boho operates as a family-oriented business and seeks to serve the community through its tasty drinks and friendly faces. This is sure to be our next spot for an afternoon pick-me-up.

3. Davenport’s Pizza

The pizza palace we all know and love, Davenport’s Pizza, is opening a second location in Vestavia City Center, and we could not be any more ready. As a Birmingham staple for 55 years, their slogan “best in the South, possibly the North, maybe the world!” might be correct. Keep following along for more updates about the opening of the new location—you don’t want to miss it.

4. PHast Food Smoothie Co.

Picking up fast food on the way home has a completely different meaning now. As Hoover’s newest smoothie company, they serve protein, fruit and detox smoothies— all with plant-based ingredients. Located in Hoover off of Resource Parkway, this new smoothie spot is the perfect stop for all of our Highway 280 drivers.

5. Earthkeeper Yoga

Looking to practice yoga in different forms such as outdoor yoga or live-streamed classes? Villager Yoga, soon to be Earthkeeper Yoga, has got you covered. Under the new ownership and leadership of Ashley McDuff Clarke and current Villager Yoga teachers, the studio will continue to operate and inspire our community through yoga practice. Good news, the classes and schedules from Villager Yoga will roll right into Earthkeeper Yoga for a seamless transition, as well as adding new classes to the schedule right alongside your previous favorites. We are so excited to see what this new season brings for Earthkeeper Yoga.
