June Coffee expanding to Hoover in 2027

If you’re at all familiar with Birmingham’s coffee scene, June Coffee likely needs little introduction.
Located at 213 25th St N Ste C next to Zephr Barber and Last Call Baking Company, June Coffee began in 2018 as a small-batch coffee roaster, supply coffee beans to places like Little Professor Bookstore and General. Four years later, founder and owner Jimmy Truong opened June Coffee’s first brick-and-mortar location, quickly making a name for itself thanks to its cozy, welcoming atmosphere, flavorful roasts and tempting seasonal drinks.
Now, June Coffee is starting a new chapter in Hoover.
Jimmy Truong announced the expansion on June Coffee’s social media on Friday, October 2, stating:
As we approach the holiday season and end of 2026, we can’t help but already have our eyes set for 2027. We’re excited to announce that we’re opening our second location at Knox Square in Hoover. This project has been in the works for a long time and we can’t wait to share more updates with yall soon. 🖤
