Mother’s Day is just days away on Sunday, May 9. If you’re scurrying for plans for dear ole’ mom, here are some events taking place around Birmingham that are sure to make her smile.

1. Sweet Ham Alabama & Wild Honey Flower Truck – Mother’s Day Event

On Mother’s Day, you can’t go wrong with a bouquet of flowers. Build your mom-inspired bouquet during the Sweet Home Alabama & Wild Honey Flower Truck event at RealtySouth on Thursday, May 6.

2. Mother’s Day Special & Vendor Festival

Want to surprise your mom with something special this Mother’s Day? Then take her to the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum in Calera for a day of festivities and an old fashioned train ride.

During the festival expect:

6. No Show Mother’s Day event

On Saturday, May 8, the St. Vincent’s Foundation Junior Board is hosting a No Show Mother’s Day Brunch so you can treat mom to a special mean while supporting the Ascension St. Vincent’s Women and Children’s Center.

On the menu:

  • Ready-to-bake frozen breakfast casserole with fruit + muffins from Christian Catering.
  • Orange juice + bottle of Prosecco ($100 purchase)

Have your meal delivered or pick it up via drive-through when you order by Wednesday, May 5.

Event proceeds will be used to purchase state-of-the-art Giraffe OmniBeds that provide premature newborns at Ascension St. Vincent’s with a controlled environment that is optimal for their health and development.

7. Mother’s Day Scavenger Hunt

Put mom’s mental power to the test during a Mother’s Day Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, May 8.

Activities are fit for all ages, just be sure to wear comfortable shoes because there will be some walking involved. *Masks are mandatory.

The first clue will be revealed the morning of the event with following clues sent via text or Facebook messenger.

Mother’s Day gifts will be given to the registered mom of each group.
