Neighbors Brew & Pies

We’re welcoming Neighbors Brew & Pies to the Leeds community with open arms and a hungry stomach. This indoor and outdoor brew-pub concept checks all the boxes—a delicious menu, locally crafted brews and a great atmosphere.

When I visited Neighbors, everyone was raving about the pies and I left knowing exactly what the hype was about. Neighbors is a pizzeria serving up hand-tossed, firestone pies with fresh toppings, airy pockets of goodness and a crisp crust.

The menu features some of your favorite Italian classics like Cheesy Garlic Bread, Cheese Pie and Pepperoni Pie. Or you can try something new and choose from their lineup of specialty pies, including:

• The Screen Test (Smoked Chicken, Parmesan Cream, Mozzarella, Roasted Tomatoes)
• Grand River Pie (Tomato, Mozzarella, Salami, Pepperoni, Olive, Italian Sausage, Mushroom, Bell Pepper, Red Onion)
• Neighbor’s Pie (Tomato, Mozzarella, Salami, Pepperoni, Ham, Conecuh Sausage, Bacon, Italian Sausage)
• Veggie Pie (Tomato Sauce, Spinach, Olive, Red Onion, Bell Pepper, Mushroom, Artichoke, Tiny Tomatoes)

We’re going to need something to wash all of this deliciousness down, right? Neighbors brings some of your favorite local breweries under one roof. Choose from over 12 taps of hand-crafted beers made on site and keep an eye on their social media for upcoming beer release parties brought to you by Neighbors Brewing Co.

Neighbors Brew & Pies has everyone in mind so if you’re not into brews and prefer a cocktail, enjoy one of their signature cocktail recipes. Just sit back, sip and enjoy.

Saw’s BBQ

Not in the mood for pizza? No worries. Under the same roof sits a local classic. Saw’s is a four-letter word that holds a lot of power here in Birmingham. It’s home to award-winning cuisine and one of my top suggestions when someone visits The Magic City.

The Backyard in Leeds is Saw’s newest location and any fan knows that each menu varies by location. You can rest assured that this location’s menu is vast and hits all of the highlights, including:

• The Carolina Burger
• Banana Pudding
• Six Stuffed Tater options
• Pimento Cheese & Pepper Jelly served with Pork Rinds
• Shrimp Po Boy
• Sweet Tea Fried Chicken Sandwich
• AND MORE!

That’s just a little taste of the extensive menu, but if we didn’t stop there, we probably would’ve started drooling.

Let’s talk about impressive amenities, though!

Food’s great and all, but it tastes better in an incredible atmosphere. The Backyard already has ample outdoor seating, but now you can enjoy 9,500 square feet of socially distanced seating indoors. For once, choosing what to order may not be your hardest decision and now it’s all about where to sit.

For those looking for a front-row seat to the action, set up camp in front of Neighbors’ giant projector that’ll be showing some of the buzziest games on the big screen.

For those who want to sip away at delicious brews, the bar counter may be your best bet. The barstools aren’t your tiny wooden stools either. They’re wide enough to get comfy and close enough to overlook the brewing tanks where Neighbors Brewing Co. works their magic to create their own small batch beers.

Of course, we can’t forget dad. He’s got his own leather recliner right next to the pool tables and arcade games. There’s a perfect spot for him to kick back, chill and grub.
