We spoke with three of the top performing teams & individual agents to learn more about what it’s like to work for LAH Real Estate!
The Bradley Perlis Group
I first met The Bradley Perlis Group in early 2020, when I toured a gorgeous $1.5M home the team had listed in Homewood. Since then, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the team. In fact, the Bradley Perlis Group has been LAH Real Estate‘s top performing team each year since 2018.
The Bradley Perlis Group is currently made up of five expert agents: Anna Frances Bradley, Guy Bradley, Charles Perlis, Katy Pulvere and Crissi Waters. To learn more about The Bradley Perlis Group, I spoke with Anna Frances Bradley.
What do you think makes the Bradley Perlis Group so successful each year?
Anna Frances: “Definitely our customer base. We’ve been in the business so long that we have a large client base who have counted on us in the past and continue to do so. Last year, we had lots of referrals from pleased clients. Each of us at the Bradley Perlis Group are hard workers, and we didn’t let quarantine or the pandemic get us down. We knew people needed our help so we kept at it!”
What are you looking forward to in 2021? What changes is the Bradley Perlis Group looking to make?
Anna Frances: “In 2021, we’re all looking forward to the spring market. It’s a fun, fast-paced market and we enjoy utilizing our experience in the challenging situations that pop up. In a broad sense, we’re very excited about Birmingham’s continued growth and sharing the magic of The Magic City with people all over the country!”
The Thomason Team
Next, I spoke with Michael Thomason of The Thomason Team. Formed in late 2020, The Thomason Team is a new force in the local real estate market. The group is made up of three close friends: Michael Thomason, Zach White and Michael Glidewell.
What attracted you to LAH Real Estate?
Michael: “I wanted to spend more time with my kids, so the flexible hours of working as an agent for LAH Real Estate was very attractive to me. I was drawn to LAH Real Estate because it’s a small, boutique real estate company. It’s local, has a fantastic reputation and a very powerful presence in the market. I’ve been with LAH Real Estate for 6 years now, and I’ve loved every minute of it.”
Why did you decide to form The Thomason Team?
Michael: “Part of the reason I wanted to form a team is because I want to work smarter, not harder. I want to be able to provide my clients with the most attention possible. To me, it’s not about selling houses—it’s about fostering and growing that relationship with my clients.”
What’s in store for The Thomason Team in 2021?
Michael: “We’re looking forward to growing our team’s business in the next year. I’ve been a top performing individual for LAH Real Estate, and The Thomason Team is looking to be a top performer as well. We focus on one deal at a time, giving our clients as much attention as they need to be confident in their decisions!”
Ben Preston
Finally, I spoke with Ben Preston. Originally from Lafayette, Alabama, Ben currently works at the Hoover Office for LAH Real Estate and resides in Hoover with his wife, Laura and two daughters. Since 2006, Ben has worked full-time as an agent for LAH Real Estate.
Have you worked with LAH Real Estate for your entire real estate career?
Ben: “Yes, and I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. LAH Real Estate is such a family-oriented company, and it’s truly a family. I’ve worked under several brokers for LAH Real Estate, and now we’re in the process of launching our new office in Hoover.”
What has led to your success over the past year?
Ben: “Since I’ve been in the business for 15 years, I know how to evolve and adapt to the constantly-changing real estate market. Obviously, COVID-19 threw us for a loop last spring. However, the pent up buyer demand is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before in Birmingham. We have 10 to 15 buyers per house now—the strongest seller’s market I’ve ever seen. I’m able to understand the market and advise my clients on the best path forward, and my clientele has grown tremendously over the last year.”
What are you looking forward to this year?
Ben: “Being in business as long as I have, I’m always looking forward to hearing from past clients. I have a lot of clients that end up working with me again, or referring my services to their friends and family. I don’t know what’s in store in the next year, but I’m hopeful that 2021 can only get better. I’m also looking forward to LAH Real Estate’s new office in Hoover! That will be huge not just for my career, but for every agent in our office.”
