9 Instagram-worthy spots in Birmingham for your next photos

If you’re anything like me, you’re always on the lookout for Instagram-worthy spots in Birmingham. Whether you want photos to celebrate a graduation or an engagement or you just want a fun socially-distanced way to spend time, check out these spots you might not have considered.
1. Shoppe
Want to add some greenery to your home and to your profile photos? Head to Shoppe Plant Nursery to buy a fresh plant to brighten up these dreary winter days. While you’re browsing, take a few photos in their colorful greenhouse.
Of course, be sure to respect patrons of the business + everyone at work and only snap a quick photo if you won’t be blocking potential customers.

2. Cobb Lane
When you want to visit a gorgeous Birmingham destination that feels like walking in a European town, head to Cobb Lane in Five Points. This picturesque area is also the home to some of Birmingham’s historic closed restaurants, such as Cobb Lane Restaurant and the J. Clyde.

4. Woodlawn Neighborhood Mural
We couldn’t write a list of photo-worthy spots in Birmingham without including a few murals! Our city is full of murals (check out this guide with over 50), but one of our favorites for photos is in Woodlawn. The Cyclorama mural by @roblikespie, @moses.art and @blankspacebham is full of bright colors that will make your Instagram pop.

7. Farm Bowl and Juice Co.
Farm Bowl and Juice Co. has Instagram-worthy spots everywhere you turn. Grab photos on the swings on their front porch or walk to the gorgeous colorful mural by @locomotivecreative and @collinvghn and around the building.

8. East Lake’s Murals
East Lake’s Art Town features a few colorful murals so you can snap all the photos your heart desires. Birmingham is full of so many amazing murals you might not know where to start. When I want to go mural hopping, I love starting for breakfast or lunch in a Birmingham neighborhood like Crestwood and then exploring. You never know what you’ll find—this colorful mural by @pcwilm is on the side of Crestwood Tavern.
