Beginning in October, the two partners of Brookwood Office Partners LLC, Arlington Properties and Colliers International | Alabama, reached out to locals for community input.

Based on that community input, Brookwood Office Partners LLC is planning to transform Brookwood Village into a mixed-use center, anchored by a public green space. But that’s not all—the new development will include:

  • 350 high-end apartments for both renters and homeowners,
  • Locally owned, upscale retail outlets,
  • Between 80,000-120,000 square-feet of office space,
  • Up to 120 hotel rooms,
  • Restaurants and food & beverage options,
  • And more!

According to Brookwood Office Partners LLC, the goal of the redevelopment is to create an inviting space for the surrounding community to gather. In addition to the shopping options, the new development will offer access to Lakeshore and Jemison Trails.

Brookwood Office Partners LLC is presently analyzing the input from four community meetings. Now, they’ll use that community input to finalize their conceptual plans. According to The Homewood Star, Brookwood Office Partners LLC aims to finish the conceptual planning and rezoning process by Spring 2021. Then, the team will be free to start construction, which could take anywhere from 18-24 months.
