Birmingham-based developer and real estate firm The Dobbins Group is working to develop a $16.5M luxury, multifamily apartment complex in Avondale. Here is what we know about the development.
The two buildings will have a combined total of 96 one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Each unit will have 9-foot ceilings, walk-in closets, granite countertops and appliances like washer and dryers. In addition, the entire apartment complex will have access to fire pits and grills, a bocce ball lawn, pet areas and an elevated sunning deck.
The Dobbins Group, a Birmingham-based developer, is taking the lead on the project. On August 13, they closed on the properties for $1.5M and secured more than $11.7M in financing for the project. Arlington Construction Services is the General Contractor constructing the project.

The development marks a major milestone in the continued redevelopment of the Avondale neighborhood. The apartment complex replaces several run-down and abandoned homes just a few blocks from 41st Street.
