Last year we announced that Big Whiskey’s will make its Alabama debut at Hoover’s Stadium Trace Village. Now they have their sights set on a grand opening this summer along with taking extra precautions to keep customers safe.

At Big Whiskey’s, traditions are just as important as trends. This casual, tavern-style restaurant boasts all of the classic favorites. Though you can catch your favorite teams play on their big-screen TVs, it’s much more than just your typical sports bar.

Hoover, this may just be your new hangout spot for lunch, happy hour, dinner and even brunch. Although a date has not been set, Big Whiskey’s plan to open in July 2020.

Where will it be located?

Alabama’s first Big Whiskey’s will be located at Stadium Trace Village. This area has seen a lot of growth recently, now offering a diverse range of restaurants, such as:

  • Taco Mama
  • Smoosh Cookies
  • Frutta Bowls
  • Wrapsody
  • MELT
  • And more!

Let’s take a look at their menu

Now onto the part that we’ve all been waiting for—the food! They have an extensive menu so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you want seafood, Mexican, pasta, or a steak, you can find it on their menu. To jazz things up, there are rotating seasonal dishes so you always have something new to try.

Big Whiskey’s serves all the dishes we know and love including their signature award-winning jumbo wings, bodacious burgers and baby back ribs.

Of course, we can’t forget the drinks. It’s not called Big Whiskey’s for nothing. With over 100 whiskey selections, 20+ beers on tap and a great wine selection, happy hour is calling my name. Can we just take a second to marvel at this fish bowl drink?!

Safety Plans

“Governor Ivey’s recommendations were clear and we felt that we can open safely and that our community could use some positive momentum. We’re ready to do what we do best: feed people exceptional food and provide a great atmosphere to break bread with family and friends.”

Big Whiskey’s rep

As we head into a new normal, restaurants are slowly opening back up with new safety precautions. Here’s how Big Whiskey’s plans to keep you safe:

  • There will be limited capacity + patio seating.
  • Social distancing practices will be implemented.
  • In addition to dine-in, ordering curbside pickup, in-store pickup and delivery will be available
