When it rains it pours, especially in Alabama. But, when the sun shines again, make sure you take advantage of those beautiful spring days at one of these Birmingham outdoor classes.

1. Oak Mountain State Park

Sunrise Hike to Kings Chair 

Kings Chair is breathtaking on its own, but the view at sunrise? That’s gonna be one for the books. Stick around after, because Oak Mountain Brewing Company is set to open in March, and you can stop in for a much-earned lunch beer.

You might think this is for children only, but I’m 100% adding it to my calendar. What’s more magical than a little fairy house tutorial?

2.Cheaha State Park

Arts in the Environment

Isn’t the world around us our greatest inspiration when creating art? Get into your artistic element at Cheaha State Park and paint a sunny wildflower hillside. As temps warm up there’s a good chance you’ll find a couple of critters to include in your painting, too.

Waterfall Tour and Lunch with a VIEW!

The last time I went to Cheaha State Park I got lost trying to find the waterfall, and worst of all I didn’t have any snacks with me.  This tour solves both problems looks great on the ‘gram.
