During the past two years, Peter Genereux has been preparing to follow his dream–Oak Mountain Brewing Company. Now, he’s ready to get started. Pelham’s new brewery opens in March 2020. Here’s what you need to know.

The Perfect Spot for Lovers of Nature

Although Birmingham has several breweries in and around downtown, Pelham has been left out. The nearest brewery to the area is Siluria Brewing, all the way in Alabaster.

Since Oak Mountain State Park, Oak Mountain Amphitheater, and Pelham Civic Complex are right around the corner, it makes sense for Pelham to have a brewery. So, Oak Mountain Brewing Company President Peter Genereux decided to step up.

Oak Mountain Brewing will offer a wide variety of ales and lager, touching on both classic and experimental styles.

Additionally, the Oak Mountain Brewing taproom will eventually have 12 beers on draft and a small wine selection.

  • Taproom: In addition to the brewery, guests can buy drinks and hang out at Oak Mountain Brewery’s Pelham location.
  • Food: Although Oak Mountain Brewing won’t be selling their own food, they will have food trucks nearby to provide tasty snacks.
  • Live music: Since the building will have an outdoor patio, it’s the perfect place to enjoy live music while drinking a beverage.
