Best spot to view the race: Along 2nd Avenue South between 28th Street South and 29th Street South. Just look for the start/finish line.
2. Dressing up could score you and your pup prizes!

On Saturday, March 14 at 4:15PM, grab your family, friends and doggos and head to the Lucky Leprechaun Loop for Hammerfest Community Hour. This will be your time to show off your St. Patrick’s Day spirit, so don those shamrocks and lots of green. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed.
Even Fido is invited to take home some gold. Sign up your best-dressed pup for the St. Pawtrick’s Day Parade and leave let them strut their stuff. Registration is free.

Kids getting antsy? Steer them toward the Hammerfest Kids Zone for hours of entertainment with inflatables, crafts and more.
Get ready to pop a wheelie, kids, because during Hammerfest you’ll have the exciting chance to cruise around the Lucky Leprechaun Loop during the Lil’ Shamrock Fun Ride Presented by Alabama Power.
Be sure to swing by the bike decorating station in the Hammerfest Kids Zone so you can deck out your bike in lots of Saint Paddy’s Day flair before hitting the track.

This supported training ride takes you on a 60-mile trek alongside USA CRITS D1 teams and former world tour pro Frankie Andreu. How cool is that? And don’t worry, it’s not a competition. All cycling levels are allowed to join in the fun and ride at their own pace. Phew!
After you ride, take a load off at Avondale Brewing Company and chow down and chat with fellow riders from 1-3PM.
5. Businesses will still be hopping at Pepper Place
Pepper Place is home to many great businesses, several of which will remain open during Hammerfest. So along with the many food trucks that will be offering great eats during the event, you can also grab a drink at The Lumbar or dinner at Hot and Hot Fish Club.
The Market at Pepper Place will be open as usual, too, on Saturday, March 14 from 7AM-Noon.
