Here is a Jeopardy answer.

This state had a team in the College National Championship game for 9 out of the past 11 championship games since 2009.

What is the state of Alabama … Alex?

That’s right, the University of Alabama and Auburn University have appeared in 82% of Division I’s National Championship games over the past decade.

And, think about it, 2020 is the first year since  2014, we do not have to make plans to travel to the local Dicks Sporting Goods to get Championship gear.

LSU v. Clemson

As everyone knows, this year’s big game is the battle of the Tigers – LSU v. Clemson on Monday, January 13th, beginning at 7:00pm.

Despite, not having a local team playing, both teams are from the South, and there is a great deal of interest because this is LSU’s first time in the finals under the new playoff format.

And for Clemson? If they win tonight, that will be 3 National Championships  out of 4 tries for a team led by Pelham native son Dabo Swinney.

So, where are good places to watch the game? Here

Another bastion for Louisiana – LSU fans, last week when we contacted Rougaroux in the Forest Park area, they told us they are welcoming fans to watch the big game. Not a big place to watch the game, so get there early too, and enjoy some of Birmingham’s best gumbo.

Additional recommendation – get your gumbo and Po boys “To Go”, to take home.

Here is Rougaroux’s address – 817 39th St S, Birmingham, Alabama
