Moonstone Festival, a one day music and arts festival happening November 16 at Sloss Docks, is less than a month away. Here’s everything you need to know including who’s performing, local vendors attending, live art installations happening, afterparty deets and how to win tickets before the event!

First Thing’s First—The Lineup 🎶🔮

*Please note that the lineup set times are subject to change.

The motive behind Moonstone is to celebrate womxn in music and art. So it’s no surprise the majority of musicians on the lineup are female fronted acts. The nationally-touring artists are all unique. And if you’re into the dream pop/indie rock sound, you’ll love the roster below. Visit Moonstone’s site for more info on the artists.

💙💙💙💙💙💙 this #Repost @emma.nope with @get_repost ・・・ three years ago as a nervous awkward introverted freshman i was working an event at the birmingham zoo around halloween. it was opening night and the staff told us that night was going to be different, explaining that the kids and their families we were going to be interacting with were affected by autism. at the time i had little to no understanding of what that really meant. then, after a long night full of smiles and laughter, a single dad with two kiddos in a stroller, a toddler on his hip and an elementary school boy in tow, came up to me and said the words that would intensely impact my life for the next three years; “you have no idea how much all this means to our families. thank you.” and in that moment looking around me at how happy that these families were just to have a night where they didn’t get strange looks, or whispers and attempts at discreet pointing; a night where they were understood, accepted, and included. fast forward three years and these people have grown into the deepest parts of my heart and soul. they’re family. so this is for all you guys. for your endless compassion and dedication and drive and loving kindness that so endlessly inspires me in everything i do. here’s to you. #kulturecity #autismawareness #autismacceptance #autisminclusion • // ps if you read this all the way through thank you & ily
