Halloween is almost here! It’s time to get out the costumes and candy, Birmingham. Wondering what to do if you have a little one that’s not quite ready to trick or treat just yet? Check out the options below.

Boo at the Zoo

Head over to the Birmingham Zoo from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. until October 31 to check out some spooky attractions! Kids of all ages are welcome to this annual event. Your tot can meet super heroes, listen to stories and visit some animals!

The library has tons of events for littles. The best part? They’re free. A full listing of events can be found here.

The Avondale Library’s Tot Time on October 28 is dedicated to Halloween stories. This story time is specifically for 2 to 4 year olds. Again Tot Time is free, but advance registration is required.

The Homewood Library is also hosting their Preschool Playtime on October 31 for birth to pre-k. More info can be found here

Mystics of Mountain Brook is having their annual Halloween parade at 4:00 p.m. in Crestline Village on October 31. Well in advance of bedtime, your little can dress up, enjoy the parade, then go home and crash!
