Regardless of the weather, it is in fact spooky season! Check out why Iron City‘s “A Nightmare on 22nd Street” is the perfect place for adults to celebrate Halloween in Birmingham.

Halloween is almost here, which means it’s time for haunted houses, ghost walks, and dressing up in elaborate costumes. While you could go from door to door asking for candy, I think you’d have a lot more fun by celebrating Halloween at Iron City.

1) Show off your costume

Who doesn’t like dressing up for Halloween? If you want to bring out your inner child, throw on your best costume and show off at Iron City!

Additionally, stick around until 10:30PM to participate in the costume contest! There will be three categories: single, couples, and group. Dress your best, since there are prizes for the winners!

  • Singles prize: $20 gift card to Iron City Grill, 2 tickets to an upcoming show, and Iron City Merch
  • Couples prize: $40 gift card to Iron City Grill, 4 tickets to an upcoming show, and Iron City Merch
  • Group prize: $10 gift card to Iron City Grill for each person in the group, 1 ticket to an upcoming show per person (max 8), and Iron City Merch

2) Plus, you can immortalize your costume at the photobooth!

If you’ve put as much effort into your costume as Freddie Mercury here, you want to get a great photo to remember it! So, gather your friends and family and squeeze inside the photobooth. Plus, your picture might get featured on Iron City’s Facebook page!

3) Try trick or treating–for adults

Let’s face it–collecting candy from house to house is not as fun as when you were a kid. Luckily, Iron City has an adult version of trick or treating.

Guests can buy separate tokens to experience the adult trick-or-treating upstairs in the mezzanine where attendees (21+) can get a different specialty shot using a token.

Plus, try the special drinks you can only get at A Nightmare on 22nd Street

Each year, Iron City makes a special cocktail for A Nightmare on 22nd Street. This year, we’ve got a sneak peak at the featured cocktail for the evening!

This year’s signature drink is the Black Cat Cocktail. With raspberry liqueur, blue curaçao, lemonade and Cathead Honeysuckle Vodka, this drink is sure to be a hit!

Last year’s drink, the Zombie–light rum, dark rum, pineapple juice, brandy and little more rum–was a no-brainer!

4) Dance the night away to spooky tunes

No party would be complete without music. However, Iron City knows what they’re doing when it comes to music.

DJ Mark A.D. will be providing the beats for A Nightmare on 22nd Street.

PS: Do you think he will play the old “Monster Mash” if I ask nicely?

5) Last but not least… food!

If you need a break from the Halloween festivities, you don’t need to go far for a bite to eat. You can take a trip next-door to Iron City Grill to try something off their dinner menu. Just make sure you grab a bite before they close at 9pm.

If you get hungry later at night, Iron City will serve $1 hot dogs. Plus, there will be Halloween candy out to satisfy your sweet tooth!
