Is Tuesday too early to be making weekend plans? Maybe… but hey, this weekend is pretty special. Sunday is National Beer Day—hold for applause—and I don’t know about you, but I’m really trying to celebrate this one. Here’s your ultimate guide to Birmingham breweries and all the events happening this weekend so you can celebrate too:
Trim Tab

- What’s Happening: Trim Tab turns 5! On April 5th + 6th they’ll have music, food and of course beer! Over the two days they’ll have a Wicked Sweets Bakery pop-up, Henna and Face Jewel pop-up, a free brewery tour and so much more.
- Must Try: Their celebratory Chocolate Birthday Cake Stout releasing noon on Friday!
Good People Brewing

- Weekend Hours: Friday + Saturday 12 PM-12 AM, Sunday 12-8 PM
- What’s Happening: No word on any specials or events. Watch their FB page for updates!

Cahaba Brewing

- What’s Happening: CahabaQue, their 7th annual BBQ competition, is from 1-5 PM Saturday, April 6! There will be all you can eat food samples, live music, and beer—Plus its kid friendly! Proceeds support breast cancer research in Alabama. Get tickets here!
- Must Try: The After Dinner Berliner and Basic Beach Berliner, or the new Heffeweisen and barrel aged Raspberry Batch 1,000 that they are releasing this weekend!
Avondale Brewing Co.

- What’s Happening: Funky Fish Fry, Friday April 6, 12-6 PM! There will be live music, fried catfish, brews and activities for the kiddos! Get tickets here! They’ll also have FREE concert 2-5 PM on Sunday, April 7.
- Must Try: Their Sour Pash is the perfect spring-time beer.
Ghost Train

- What’s Happening: First Sunday Jazz Brunch – Sunday 11-2 PM Wrestlemania Watch-Party Sun. afternoon/evening
- Must Try: A Ghost Train sour! They have the Kaleidoscope Kettle Sour, Boysenberry Smoothie Sour, Chugga Peach Cobbler Sour, and Dry-Hopped Gose. Not a beer person? They also distill their own vodka and gin, so mixed drink lovers are still welcome!
Hop City Birmingham
