Before Seeds Coffee Co. came to the Lakeview District, there wasn’t a coffeehouse or breakfast place on the busy corner of 7th Avenue and 29th Street. Seeds Coffee Co. saw the need and filled it.

Seeds Coffee Co. focuses on an enjoyable coffee experience that helps build community. Initially established in West  Homewood, Seeds opened their second location in Birmingham last year. Homewood vs. Lakeview

The vibe of the Seeds Coffee Co. in Lakeview is different from the one in Homewood.  Anthony Bunger, a manager of the new location, said that Seeds wants their locations to be a reflection of the area that they are located. While the shop in Homewood is cozy and warm, the Seeds in Lakeview is everything you’d want from a downtown coffee shop. With a painted mural on the wall, a large mirror, and natural lighting, it offers an incredible space to grind or meet with clients. To top it all off, they have great service with a kind staff.

They serve breakfast and they cater too

It’s not just a commitment to coffee that Seeds Coffee Co. in Lakeview cares about but they focus on breakfast too. Their newest location also has a bakery in the back, which means that their food is made in house. Their syrups, biscuits, toasts, and pastries are all made in the back of the Lakeview location then sent to their shop in Homewood.

It might be tucked away, but that’s no reason not to stay. Seeds doesn’t just focus on the coffee; they care about the community as well. They also make sure that all of their coffee is fair trade. Coffee and breakfast are the perfect place for people to come together.
