Todd Addison knows more than anyone how important service is for a business. As the franchise owner of the Golden Corral in Hoover, he knows it is the key to his restaurant’s success.

“Service is everything. You have got one chance to make a great impression. Without service you go out of business pretty quick, no matter what business you are in,” said Addison.

Recently, Bham Now met up with Addison to discuss the special kind of service he has experienced with La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. According to Addison, it was a life changing experience.

Here is his story.

It all started with Todd and his wife furniture shopping on a Sunday afternoon. They had just bought a new home, and they were faced with the daunting task of furnishing it. This is how he described his first visit to La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries.

“My wife and I wanted to visit furniture stores one Sunday. We saw the La-Z-Boy sign, so we stopped in, to take a look around. We were immediately greeted by a real friendly salesperson. We started talking to her about what we needed in a new home, the big nice open floor plan and our concerns about being able to fill up the space. That’s when the sales person brought it to our attention that La-Z-Boy has an in home decorative service, where they come out, do measurements, and help you fill up that space – to make your home amazing without having to do all the work.

That caught my attention. I’m in the restaurant business, so I don’t have a lot of time, to do all that. It was a great service to provide a customer.”

In Home Design Service

Todd soon learned that La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries specialize in residential design such as living rooms, family rooms, home theaters, dens and more. La-Z-Boy’s design professionals will visit your home, get a feel for your style and then work with you to create a floor plan, select furniture and accessories and combine color, fabric, and leather for your favorite look.

“My wife and I sometimes work 50-80 hours a week. We don’t have much time to furniture shop or design. Here we had a nice new home, we were moving into with a new open floor space that we had never had before, with high ceilings and big windows. We were honestly petrified to having to pick out furniture and design the rooms,” added Addison.

Working together

With the design team working with the Addisons every step of the way, they make the rooms and spaces work. They bring the “wow factor” in each and every room.

“My sister, is into design, she actually designs jewelry, she has a knack for it,” smiled Todd. “She said my house actually looked better than hers. Of course, I was going to play along and say her I did it, but my wife told her La-Z-Boy did it – he had his own design team. She busted me,” he chuckled.

And it doesn’t stop with designing and purchasing the sofas, recliners, tables and lamps. When the furniture arrives, La-Z-Boy designers are there to help set up the rooms.

The La-Z-Boy In Home Design Service is free

The best part about the extraordinary service and experience? The entire La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries In Home Design Service is free.

Todd stated the obvious to us, “I don’t think the service can get any better than that.”

Life changing experience – a furniture family

Since, the Addisons furnished their home, La-Z-Boy staff continues to follow-up with the family. La-Z-Boy continues to serve them, and every once in a while, they purchase additional furnishings.

Todd Addison summed it up best about his relationship with La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries.

“You have your work family and your home family. I have my furniture family.”
