Who doesn’t like to eat raw cookie dough?
Eating raw cookie dough has long been a favorite thing to do especially when take a big scoop of dough from the mixer.
Pretty soon you won’t have to sneak around while no one’s looking to satisfy your craving for raw cookie dough. Cookie Dough Magic shop, the first of its kind, will open their doors in Avondale later this summer.
Owners Chris and Melissa Bell decided to open Cookie Dough Magic after eating at a similar shop while on a trip to New York City in February.
“We decided that we wanted to bring this great idea home to Alabama and put our own twist on the dough. So, we bought a mixer the day we returned from our trip and began practicing recipes for a creamier cookie dough,” said Melissa Bell, co-owner of Cookie Dough Magic.
Chris Bell is the mastermind behind all of the recipes and some of the couple’s closest family and friends have been their ‘top secret taste testers’ over the past few months.
Yeah, but is it safe to eat raw cookie dough?
Being the inquiring minds that we are, Bham Now asked Melissa about eating raw cookie dough, because mamma always said not to! Here’s what she said:
“Cookie Dough Magic’s cookie dough is made with pasteurized eggs and heat treated flour. The heating process removes all of the harmful bacteria from the flour and the eggs, therefore leaving you with safe to eat raw cookie dough.”
Sounds yummy, but what can customers expect?
Customers can expect a fun, family friendly atmosphere that welcomes anyone who shares a love for cookie dough. It will be the perfect spot for people to enjoy a dessert after dinner from one of the great restaurants in the Avondale area. The menu will feature 10 flavors of cookie dough that will be served on a cone or in a cup selected by the shop’s secret taste testers!
