Birmingham’s mascot will once more moon the audience (and artists) at the park’s annual concert series.

What is Vulcan Aftertunes?

An afternoon series of concerts held at the park featuring Birmingham’s mascot!  The series has featured lesser-known artists for 13 years now.

This year’s season kicks off with energetic folk act Swear and Shake and Farewell Angelina, an all-female country band.

Dreamland will drive a food truck over, and three different local craft breweries will offer beer.  If you have a sweet tooth, Nothing but Bundt Cakes will also send a food truck to the park!

The park does ask visitors to leave their pets at home, since some audience members might be allergic.

Can’t make it out this weekend on such short notice?  Don’t worry!

Every other weekend after (for a while, at least), Vulcan will host another pair of bands.  Next week’s acts, hitting the green on October 15th, include New Breed Brass Band and Heath Green and the Makeshifters.
