Are you ready for some Birmingham Bulls hockey?!

For the first time since 2001, professional hockey will be played in the Birmingham Metro area. This week, the Southern Professional Hockey League released their 2017-2018 schedule which includes the legendary Birmingham Bulls.

Fifty-six games have been scheduled for next season including 28 at the Bulls’ new home, the Pelham Civic Complex. Most of the home games will be played on either Friday or Saturday nights.

The first home game will be on November 3rd against the Knoxville Bears.

The entire 2017/2018 Birmingham Bulls home/away schedule was published on twitter yesterday by WIAT.

According to Bhamwiki, this is the 5th version of the Birmingham Bulls, a team that was founded in 1976.

In 1979, the Bulls final game in the World Hockey Association was played against the greatest player in the history of the game, Wayne Gretzky in front of a crowd of over 8,179 at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center.
