Texas convenience store giant, Buc-ee’s, eyeing Florida and Alabama

Buc-ee’s started in Texas in 1982, is looking to expand further into the Southeast. Florida’s Daytona Beach will break ground on its newest location, by 2018, and Baldwin County, Alabama is the next prospect.

According to information released Wednesday, the new Florida location is the first one outside of Texas, and there’s confidence that Alabama could be next.

“We’re taking our love of on the road, sharing the best convenience store experience with America and spreading Buc-ee’s passion for excellence into Florida and Alabama,”

– Jeff Nadalo, General Counsel, told the Houston Chronicle

Similarly, the Florida location will be the largest gas station/convenience store in the Sunshine State. With 120 fueling positions and 50,000 sq. feet of land, it’ll look to match the largest one in the world in New Braunfels, Texas.

Currently, there is no information regarding the certain location in Baldwin County, or the impact thereof.
