From restaurants, award winning chefs, and food trucks, the foodie can enjoy a multitude of delights on just about every street corner in the Magic City.

For me, one of the toughest things to find though are the food trucks, until the app, “OnTheCorner”, was created to make it a simple process.

Based in Birmingham, OnTheCorner has met success in our city and is now expanding to its 2nd location.

Like Birmingham, New Orleans has a rich foodie culture, and Dave Folk, co-founder of OnTheCorner, says its the perfect spot for the apps second location.

“We couldn’t be more excited about getting into New Orleans.

Beginning this week, users in the Crescent City will be able to use OnTheCorner to find New Orleans favorite food trucks.”

Success of the app in Birmingham was recognized quite early on as they received 3,000 users in the first month of operation, but were caught by surprise, to say the least.

“…we weren’t prepared for that amount of traffic initially.

So we spent the past six months rewriting the backend of the app to facilitate us scaling up, and we’re ready to hit the ground running in New Orleans.”

The free and user friendly application cuts out the wasted time you would spend searching the internet to find local food trucks.

When users download OnTheCorner on the iOS App Store, or Google Play Store they can favorite trucks, set how far they would travel to that truck, and what times they want to be notified about a trucks location if it is within range of them.

Around lunch or dinner the app will send them a message with what food trucks are within range of them.”

Last summer, OnTheCorner was founded and developed, and boy have they come a long way.

The expansion to New Orleans marks off its second major city location!
