Za’atar Bar and Kitchen opening soon in Pepper Place!
Soon, Pepper Place will host Birmingham’s newest Mediterranean restaurant, Za’atar Bar and Kitchen.
The exciting addition was inspired by a trip the Chef & owner, Ashley Tarver, took to Morocco.
Working at Highlands Bar and Grill as well as The Hot and Hot Fish Club, in Birmingham, Tarver developed a knack for top notch dishes.
Correspondingly, taking those skills to the next level, she decided to specialize in catering Spanish dishes with Southern Flair.

Mediterranean food encompasses about 60 countries. Za’atar Bar + Kitchen will combine fresh, local ingredients from the market with spices from around the Mediterranean.”

Accordingly, the restaurant is a blend of thyme, oregano, sumac, and sesame – “blends the familiar with the exotic”.
