And that’s a WIN for UAB Basketball

Reading time: 1 minute

What do you get when a Lion crosses a Dragon? An 86 to 66 win. In their season-opening game, on November 11th, the UAB Blazers showed the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff what they are made of in an exciting game.

New Coach, Robert Ehsan earned his first win with the UAB team. Between Tyler Madison, Hakeem Baxter, and Chris Cokley , 45 points alone were scored. In the first 15 minutes, there were 16 points and seven rebounds all from Senior Tyler Madison.

Unfortunately, Nick Norton, one of the top guards in Conference USA, was injured in the first half of the game and could not continue the game. That didn’t stop the team as they pushed through to win their 26th consecutive game at Bartow Arena.

The next game is Monday, November 14th at 7pm. Go show your Blazer Pride.
