Scientists from Birmingham’s McWane Science Center, Auburn and South Carolina discovered two ancient fossil shark species from the southeastern US that lived during the Paleocene Period. Y’all, that was over 35 million years ago! 🤯 One of the species is even named after McWane Science Center’s very first President and CEO John L. Mackay. Full story.
