Notes FIND ART downtown the last full weekend in April! Birmingham’s historic Linn Park hosts this award-winning festival's spring infusion of fresh artistic talent, sights, sounds, tastes, and aromas. MCAC arts festival presents 200 juried fine artists from around the country to thousands of visitors hungry for art, culture, entertainment, food, and fun. Be one of the art newbies, art curious, or art collecting festival goers exploring the thousands of works on display. All mediums, styles, and price points are represented. Complementing the art buying experience is the food, wine, craft beer, spirits, cocktails, and guided tasting seminars & demos of Birmingham's longest running tasting event. Corks & Chefs: A Taste of Birmingham gathers foodies, tastemakers, and more under a 300 foot tent in front of City Hall for hours of enjoying local flavor during the 3 day festival weekend. MCAC's 2020 Special Exhibition will feature the work of Birmingham street photographer, Larry O. Gay. You've seen him around town photographing Birmingham, its people, its heart. We definitely share his mantra, "Art is where you find it." To make your time at MCAC even more unforgettable, add in performances live on stage, art-making workshops and parades for kids, large scale art installations, and just lingering with friends at the Park Place Café or at one of the festival lounges in the beautiful, tree lined park located across from the Birmingham Museum of Art.
