Camp Fire Alabama believes in the inherent potential of every child; and that every child deserves the opportunity to realize that potential. Focus Education
Address 2301 1st Avenue North, Suite 102
City Birmingham
Instagram @literacy_update
Notes Literacy is essential. Struggling to read basic sentences makes it difficult or impossible to navigate everyday life. The negative impact of low-literacy is heightened during these uncertain times and we're working to reduce the effect. We’re developing ways to help our learners during a time when we cannot meet face-to-face. This includes meeting immediate needs like helping them to understand information about COVID-19. Health information and guidelines can be difficult to consume and digest. We’re also working on options for distance learning and helping them develop digital skills or engage in a world that has suddenly become remote which requires both literacy and digital skills. We're helping the people we serve with both. We’re still here thinking about our community needs. We’re continuing to serve, and we are grateful for your support.
