Provide administrative and departmental coordination and support for the Senior VP of Community Initiatives. Works closely with the program activities within the department to ensure effective and efficient operations and maintains a professional and cooperative working relationship within the department, other UWCA departments and the community. Provides oversight and assistance to accomplish financial requirements for CI programs.
Responsibilities
- Administrative support for Community Initiatives SVP
- Assist in planning, coordination and management of departmental staff meetings, departmental level committees, Subsidiary Boards and UWCA Board. Maintain committee rosters, make meeting arrangements, send out notices, prepare agendas, handouts, minutes and related documents
- Coordinate and schedule appointments and maintain and update calendar for the Senior VP of Community Initiatives
- Represent Community Initiatives at department and agency meetings as needed
- Provide oversight to CI Administrative Assistant
- Assist with oversight of disaster related activities as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills
Ability to prioritize, effectively organize time, multitask and work under pressure
Excellent management and organizational skills are essential
Substantial computer experience with Microsoft operations and ability to integrate specialized management databases
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proof reading
Be self-directed with ability to make judgments and function independently
Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
Consistently exhibits professional conduct, highly customer service oriented, typing at least 50 wpm
Proven ability to work in a team based environment
Education
Bachelors degree preferred (BSW, BS, BA, or related)
Experience
Minimum five years administrative/ professional work experience
Management/Supervisory Experience preferred
Other:
Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance
Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of automobile insurance commensurate with state law
Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements to be insured by UWCA’s insurance
Flexible work hours with some after hours work required
