Major Gifts Assistant – Part Time

Position Summary

  • Provide administrative support to the Major Gifts Team and Major Gifts Volunteers.

Responsibilities

  • Written and verbal communication with volunteers and donors.
  • Filing, data entry, and data management.
  • Preparation of mailings and training materials.
  • Record keeping and purchase orders.
  • Customer service and donor correspondence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong administrative and clerical skills.
  • Effective phone communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Genuine interest in the United Way mission.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and time management.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or some college preferred).

Experience:

  • Administrative experience required; two years preferred.
  • Experience with high-end donors and volunteers preferred.

Required:

  • Reliable transportation.
  • Proof of automobile insurance.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment.
  • Some travel and occasional overtime.
