Wine and Hip Hop – wine tasting with music

Emmy-nominated host Jermaine Stone hits Birmingham, Alabama with Wine and Hip Hop Terroir Tapes Listening Sessions! Terroir is the French term for the combination of the growing conditions around the grapes that produce your wines. The kind of soil, the climate, and the local culture all influence the flavor of wine.
Terroir Tapes listening sessions aims to educate attendees by taking them on a dual tour of the geography of the wine regions that produce the wines we love and the regions that give rise to the rap music we love. Driven by a sincere love for both, host Jermaine Stone analyzes the relationship between hip-hop and wine environments.
There will be six different wines served, with food pairings while Jermaine explores the distinctive qualities of a hip-hop region, breaking down the pace, metaphors, slang, and other elements that define its distinct cultural identity. He also makes connections between the hip-hop region and its cultural influences, which range from dance styles to the productions it influences.
Simultaneously, the tasting takes a sensory journey through delicious wine to unravel the terroir of different wine regions. Guests are taken on an authentic exploration, comparing the environmental elements shaping wine and hip-hop. Enjoy food, wine, hip hop and cigars.
There will be a live performance by Alabama’s own JR BOSS and DJ BIG SHOW.
