Party on the Porch is BACK!
Party on the Porch—commonly known as POP by our staff and guests—is a periodic event that we at Alabama Outdoors host. Our goal? To engage with our community, help build connections among members of our surrounding areas, and deliver a fun break on a normal Friday night.

Now I know you may be asking, “What is Party on the Porch?” What started as a fun way to engage with our local neighborhood has snowballed into something bigger—and we can’t wait to introduce a brand-new Party on the Porch.

Now, if you’ve been to one of our POPs before, you probably remember how distinct it was. Drinks, a band, some areas for cornhole, and more. However, we’ve decided that our beloved POP needed a rebrand, so we’ve decided to shake it up! And don’t worry, we’re listing all our fun new additions below, so you can get the full picture of what is to come!

1. Free Admission

We know that sometimes it’s fun to go out and try events around town—so we want to make that experience as seamless as possible! Enjoy free admission to make friends, build community, and explore the Homewood area.

2. Philanthropy

Our Party on the Porch will be benefiting Darling Grey’s Philanthropy. Darling Grey is not only a brand we carry but also a mission we strongly support. They are dedicated to helping survivors of human trafficking find jobs, resources, and support. We are honored to support their mission with donations, no matter how big or small!

3. Free Drinks for Donors (21+)

As a thank you to those who donate $10 or more to Darling Grey’s philanthropy, we are offering free drinks! (As long as you are over 21). Think of it as our way of paying it forward and thanking you for supporting their cause.

4. Live DJ

We’re keeping the tunes flowing with a live DJ. Look forward to a lively atmosphere with family-friendly tracks everyone can enjoy

5. Par-Tees Pars Golf Simulator

We’re excited to have Par-Tees Par Golf Simulator on-site for all the golfers. Featuring a fun, inflatable golf simulator, you can try out courses like Ross Bridge, Pebble Beach, and Augusta National

6. Shopping Spree Giveaway

Every donation to Darling Grey also enters you for a chance to win our raffle! We will be giving away a $100 gift card every 30 minutes from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Every 30 minutes when we pull from the raffle, the winner must be present to win. Make sure to hold onto your tickets to see if you’re one of our winners!

7. Exclusive Merch

We will have exclusive Party on the Porch merchandise available! Show off your attendance in style with pieces that can only be bought at this event.

8. Fun Food Trucks

With this POP revamp, we’ve decided to reach out to local vendors and have many options for food at our event. We have Eugene’s Hot Chicken, a Birmingham staple that serves hot chicken you’ll swear came from Nashville itself. Next, we have Wasabi Juan’s– a sushi burrito spot that has charmed everyone who has had it. Unlike the typical sushi burrito place, Wasabi Juan’s is a true Mexican Japanese fusion spot, blending the two cuisines into something seriously delicious. In the mood for something sweet? Don’t worry, we’ve made sure to book Sweet Chill and South Fizz Soda, two options that will help that sweet craving at the end of the night.
