Music4Romania (www.music4romania.org) cordially invites you to an eclectic evening of music and poetry celebrating the transcendental power that music, love, and faith have on our lives; uplifting us, uniting us, and allowing us to sometimes touch the sublime.

Music by Haendel, Caccini, Strauss, Faure, Ravel, Barber, Hovhaness, Nottara, Amy Beach, William Grant Still, Gershwin, Pablo Casals, Bjork, Ennio Morricone, Freddie Mercury, and Joni Mitchell will be performed by Kathleen Buccleugh, soprano; Kevin Kozak, French horn; Lauren Peacock, cello; Jim Sullivan, oboe; Alex Szasz, trumpet; Daniel Szasz, violin, Alina Voicu, piano. Readings from works of Romanian poets and thinkers Ana Blandiana, Nichita Stănescu, Emil Cioran, and Alina Ștefănescu will be shared by Alina Stefanescu and Mike Ledgerwood.

The concert concludes Music4Romania’s PORTALS 2024 series, which aimed to explore faith and spirituality in music and to encourage intercultural communication through the arts. We are grateful to The Episcopal Church of St. Francis of Assisi, Baptist Church of the Covenant, and Independent Presbyterian Church for hosting us. Our 2025 series will be announced shortly, so stay tuned for details!
Admission to all Music4Romania’s events is FREE but donations on site or online will gratefully be accepted to benefit our mission to make a difference through music.
