Moretti, Mercer, and Marble Education Workshop

Please join us for Moretti, Mercer, and Marble! In partnership with the @alabamahumanities we are excited to host teachers and all curious folks to learn about Vulcan sculptor Giuseppi Moretti, his longtime assistant, artist and Marengo County native Geneva Mercer, and their work with our famous Alabama marble! Scholars include Graham Boettcher, Ph.D., Hugh Daniel Director at @bhammuseum and Ruth Beaumont Cook, author of Magic in Stone: The Sylacauga Marble Story, and Dr. Nefertari Yancie, assistant Professor of History Education at Kennesaw State University. Education staff from @aptveducation will also be on hand to share even more resources for teachers, parents, and caregivers.
Tuesday, July 16, 9:00-2:00 at Vulcan Park & Museum
Teachers will receive 5 PD credits and a $100 stipend for attending!
