MOCAFI, BLACK-FOUNDED & LED TECH FIRM, JOINS BIRMINGHAM NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES AND URBAN LEAGUE FOR FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT POP-UP

On Saturday, August 26th at 12PM, MoCaFi—a financial technology firm dedicated to expanding access to banking services for underserved communities—will host a financial empowerment pop-up event called “On Our Block” to engage with Birmingham communities on financial literacy. The event, sponsored by Truist, will feature a keynote panel on moving from renting to homeownership, with community leaders from the Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama, Birmingham Neighborhood Housing Services, Birmingham Housing Authority, Birmingham Urban League, and more. On Our Block events are free and open to interested residents and includes food from Simone Kitchen, drinks, and music by Chris Choleman.
