Homeschool Labs Every Wednesday in January!

What Are McWane Science Center’s Homeschool Labs?
Taking place once a week in January and September, Homeschool Labs (HSL) are an opportunity for home schooled students to experience the kinds of educational program McWane does for school field trips and outreach. Covering standards-aligned topics during the month, HSL students will do experiments, activities and get to use the resources and equipment of the science center – resources usually not available in the home. Labs are available for students in grades 1-12, and each month will have 4 labs covering a given topic. Coming in January 2024, these topics are:
Grades 1-2: Biology
Grades 3-4: Earth Science
Grades 5-6: Earth and Space Science
Grades 7-8: Biology
Grades 9-12: Chemistry
A month of Homeschool Labs costs $60 per student for McWane members, $80 for non-members, and takes place on Wednesdays from 9:30-11:30. You can register, and find more information, on the McWane Science Center website.
