EEAA 2024 Annual Conference at Camp McDowell Nature, Always Trending

Join us February 15-17, 2024, for the Environmental Education Association of Alabama’s 2024 Conference “Nature, Always Trending” at Camp McDowell!

KEYNOTE: Our Keynote speaker this year will be Kyle Lybarger from Native Habitat Project and Native Plant Tok on TikTok. The keynote address will be on “Conserving Native Species:” How to identify and appreciate what’s native to your area and what ecosystems deserve our attention. Where to start with their conservation and implementing conservation strategies into landscaping. How to present natives in a way that makes others appreciate them!

FIELD TRIPS: On Friday morning of the conference, we will have field trips around Camp McDowell and the surrounding areas. When you register, please make sure to only select one field trip option as these will be happening conncurently.

PAYMENTS: We will be invoicing you via PayPal once you register (within 1-5 days). Please select ‘pay by check’ on the following page however please expect the PayPal link to be sent to you shortly. While we will accept checks mailed to us, we prefer payment by card once you are invoiced via PayPal.

The ANTS (Alabama Nature-Based Teachers & Schools) Conference will be held at Camp McDowell immediately following our conference Saturday at lunch and will run through Sunday at 2pm. This is a wonderful opportunitiy to come to one place and stay for two conferences! The ANTS conference is for anyone interested in nature based education — whether that be in the home, public/private school, forest school, etc. Click here for their seperate registration page. *Note – if you plan to attend both conferences, you must register with both organizations seperately*
