Cheaha Trailhead to Lake Chinnabee Hike >>12 Miles

We will be meeting at the Publix parking lot in Oxford near Panera Bread at 8:30am and will leave there at 8:45am SHAPR!!, From there We will drive to Lake Chinnabee to leave enough vehicles for our return shuttle back to the Cheaha Trailhead after the hike this hike.

This hike will Start at the Cheaha Trailhead where We will hike South on the Pinhoti Trail to the Little Caney Head intersection, from there we will hike the Chinnabee Silent Trail to Lake Chinnabee to complete this 12 mile hike.

This will be a very scenic and Beautiful hike. along the Pinhoti Trail section of this hike We will stop for break and pics at various spots and scenic overlooks including, McDill Point, the plane crash site and other overlooks along the Pinhoti Trail section of this hike.
We continue our way to the Little Caney Head intersection where we will Hike the Chinnabee Silent Trail toward Lake Chinnabee, along the way to Lake Chinnabee we will be visiting Cheaha Falls and Devils Den falls for even more great pic opportunities.

This hike is rated STRENUOUS!!! because of terrain and distance

DO NOT RSVP FOR THIS HIKE!!! If you are unable to maintain a pace of 2 to 3 mph over this distance.

There will be an optional dinner and libations afterwards at The Coldwater Mountain Brewpub, This is in the same building that was once Cheaha Brewing in Anniston.
