Below are the new Southwest flights beginning in March 2027:

  • Nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale on Saturdays
  • An additional daily flight to Orlando on Tues, Wed, Sat and Sun
  • Additional flights to Chicago Midway 4 days a week

“We’re thrilled to see Southwest adding the Fort Lauderdale service on Saturdays and additional frequency to popular routes this Spring.  These moves indicate confidence in our market and that always bodes well for customers.”

In addition to the new 2027 flights, Southwest has also announced it has moved up the start of its new nonstop Birmingham to Phoenix flight a month from November  2026 to October 2026.
