A new Ace Hardware store has opened in Moody, Alabama.

Owned by Southeast Ace Hardware, the much-anticipated store quietly set up shop at 1005 Crossroads Plaza Drive in June.

Now this weekend, they are celebrating the official grand opening on July 17-19 with ribbon-cutting, freebies and a special NeeDoh (a popular stress-relief toy) giveaway.

Robert Byrd, a manager at the Moody Ace Hardware told Bham Now the best part of working there is helping solve people’s problems.

“We’re really happy to be here in the community. When we picked our team, we picked people that are excellent at providing great customer service.

We like to be helpful and get to know the community. I think that the fun part of the job is just going home every day and saying — you know what? — I helped somebody fix  their sink or I helped them fix something in their house today. It’s very satisfying, and that’s what we love.”
