Birmingham’s shopping scene has continued to grow with exciting new boutiques and locally-owned shops opening around the city this year. Here are a few new places around town to browse for fashion, gifts, home décor, vintage treasures and more.

1. Collected Birmingham

If you love hunting for one-of-a-kind vintage finds, Collected Birmingham is a downtown stop you’ll want to add to your shopping list. Opened in April 2026 by Leslie Tate and her partner, Collected Bham sells curated men’s, women’s and kids vintage clothing as well as buy, sell and trade options.

2. Estelle Amore

Searching for the perfect vintage wedding dress? Estelle Amore specializes in timeless bridal gowns by appointment only. A Birmingham native, Estelle began to thrift, repair and wear repurposed vintage clothing in high school. Estelle has built her brand into a one-stop shop for brides-to-be looking for an extraordinary vintage wedding dress.

3. The Royal Standard

4. The Southern Stitch Needlepoint

Own the Red Carpet is designed as an exclusive, in-store shopping experience, with curated collections and personalized service available only at its Homewood location. You’ll have 14 days to return your dress, and yes—alterations are allowed. Even better? Dry cleaning is included, so you can drop it off stress-free after your event.

6. LillieKat Rugs

Looking to refresh your space? LillieKat Rugs offers heirloom-quality rugs that can transform any room. Located next to Design Supply, LillieKat Rugs has held studio space at Pepper Place since December 2019, transforming its previously appointment-only showroom into a storefront allowing the store to cater to in-person customers in addition to its sizable online clientele.

7. Rancher Hat Bar

Rancher Hat Bar was founded in California in 2023 and has now expanded to 11 states, including right here in Alabama. Create a hat that’s uniquely yours. The store offers more than 100 hat styles and colors, with the option to customize with bands, ribbons, charms, pins, monogram branding and more.

8. Flipsies Furniture
