Good news for fans of Birmingham-made tees, posters and local art: Yellowhammer Creative is officially moving back to Avondale, according to an Instagram post. Here’s a look at why it’s happening and when you can expect to shop in person.

Yellowhammer Creative announces return to Avondale

The beloved print shop shared on Instagram that it’s heading back to Avondale, where the brand first built its following.

In February 2026, Yellowhammer moved its production studio into a warehouse space at TrimTab Brewing after more than two years of challenges that pushed the team to rethink operations and streamline how production and retail worked together.

The company’s efforts paid off with a longtime goal met: bringing its production and retail operations back under one roof.

Why Yellowhammer Creative is choosing Avondale…again

When news broke this month that TrimTab Brewing’s tasting gallery would be closing after 13 years, Yellowhammer decided it was time to make a permanent move.

The destination—in its former building in Avondale.

“Our current space at TrimTab has been awesome, but it’s quite small. Our new space is double the size so we’re excited to host more events and workshops.

We’re also bringing our friend Andy Jackson and his budding recording studio with us. So we’re hoping to build a nice hub of resources for the local music and art scene. And we’re super stoked to have our old neighbors again, Saturn, MAKEbhm, etc.”

When Yellowhammer Creative’s print shop will reopen

Yellowhammer said it’s working to make the transition as smooth as possible and hopes to reopen its Avondale print shop by July.

Until then, customers can continue to shop the brand online while the team settles back into its old neighborhood.
