According to K1 Speed Regional Manager Nicole Sarno, the new entertainment spot in Irondale is family friendly. She also hopes the new track will help develop a future racing superstar.

“What makes us really special in the racing community is that we’re trying to develop the next generation of racers in the community. We like to see little kids that are barely tall enough to race in our junior karts grow up and get into outside racing and professional racing. Hopefully one day we’re gonna have an F1 driver that started at K1 or a NASCAR racer as well.”
