Reading time: 6 minutes

Birmingham, meet Bham Now’s newest hires! From content creation and social media to journalism and digital marketing, Bham Now’s newest hires are bringing fresh perspectives and creative energy to the Magic City.
Christina Crowe | Social Media and Content Director

Born in Half Moon Bay, CA, Christina Crowe is Bham Now’s new Social Media and Content Director—but when it comes to local journalism, this isn’t her first rodeo. In fact, Christina’s first job in the city was at AL.com, working under Bham Now founder Cindy Martin.
Christina recently wrapped up a 15-year career working in healthcare and communications at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she had previously earned her MBA. She also has a Master’s in Journalism from the University of Southern California and Bachelor’s in English and French from the University of Illinois—so you could say she knows a thing or two about the power of words.
“Joining Bham Now is an exciting opportunity to reconnect with my background in communications at a point in my career when I’m ready for a new challenge. My role as director of the social media team blends my past experience with the dynamic world of digital storytelling, while allowing me to highlight and celebrate the city we’re proud to call home.”

After graduating, Madelyn spent a year at WBRC Fox 6 News as a digital content producer before trying her hand at advertising at Martin Retail Group.
“The best part of my role at Bham Now is my increased awareness of the great things happening in Birmingham. Through my work at Bham Now, I get to learn about so many incredible nonprofits, organizations and people working to make this city better. In turn, I get to tell people about that work, giving me so much pride in where I live.”

After studying finance and entrepreneurship from the University of Alabama, Victoria earned an MBA with a concentration in digital marketing from the University of West Georgia. Now, she lives in Trussville with her husband, Will.
“Bham Now piqued my interest because the company is very focused on the positive aspects of Birmingham, and bringing awareness to all of the amazing companies, restaurants, and events that are in our city!
