Birmingham will welcome the Festival International des Sports Extrêmes (FISE) World Series tour Aug. 7–9 at City Walk BHAM.

As reported by Bham Now in February, The Magic City will be the only U.S. city on the global tour’s 2026 calendar.

FISE will bring together more than 400 athletes to compete across three sports, including:

  • BMX Freestyle
  • Skateboarding
  • 3×3 Basketball

Warner Bros. Discovery will broadcast the games globally, and more than 20,000 spectators are expected to attend the 3-day event in person.

FISE is produced by Hurricane Group, a global leader in action sports events and media. Hervé André‑Benoit, CEO of Hurricane Group, said Birmingham stood out as a host city with the infrastructure, energy and vision to support the world‑class event.

“Birmingham is a city with soul, with ambition and with a culture that naturally connects to what FISE represents. This is not a one-shot event, we are here to build a long-term story with this city, its riders and its communities.”

This is the third major global sporting event hosted by Birmingham in the last few years. Last year, The Magic City welcomed the World Police and Fire Games. In 2022, Birmingham held The World Games.

Mayor Randall Woodfin said attracting events like FISE underscores the strength of collaboration between the City of Birmingham, Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau, BJCC, Jefferson County and tourism partners.
