It’s a new week in The Magic City, and that means a new roundup of businesses popping up across town.
From a new streetwear store in Five Points West to a chicken joint in Midfield, here are five businesses that should be on your radar.

1. KD’s Fine Meats | Alabaster
In December 2024, KD’s Fine Meats announced their closure through their Facebook page. Now, the longtime butcher shop in Alabaster has reopened after significant delays.
Located off Highway 119, the family-owned shop specializes in cuts of beef, chicken, seafood, pork and locally-sourced side items.

2. The Peach Cobbler Factory | Springville
The Peach Cobbler Factory’s newest location just opened its doors in Springville.
Founded in Nashville in 2013, The Peach Cobbler Factory has become one of the fastest-growing chains in the nation in the past decade. Today, it has franchises in 20 different states and six in Alabama, with four more on the way this year.
With the tagline “It’s a Southern thang,” the restaurant specializes in desserts like cobbler, banana pudding, shakes and more.

3. 2 Dripped Boutique | 5 Points West
A new premium buy-sell-trade experience specializing in luxury clothing and shoes is coming soon to Five Points West on Bessemer Road—meet 2 Dripped Boutique.
2 Dripped Boutique is a hub for sneakerheads, collectors and fashion enthusiasts alike. From limited-edition releases to exclusive collaborations, the boutique offers a carefully curated inventory featuring brands like Balenciaga, Guapi and more.

4. JAWS Chicken & Seafood | Midfield
Prepare to sink your teeth into something new! JAWS Chicken & Seafood is opening soon in Midfield across from Western Hills Mall.
The casual eatery specializes in a variety of hot fried chicken and seafood dishes with a selection of heat levels. JAWS in Midfield will be the brand’s second location in Alabama, with the first in Montgomery.

5. The 3 Delights | Southwest Birmingham
A new restaurant, The Three Delights, is opening soon in Southwest Birmingham. Its name is based on the three main items they serve: Chinese food, wings and fried seafood.
The restaurant, which is taking over the former Rally’s location on 31st Street South in Birmingham near Germania Park, will be run by a local family that’s been in the food and service industry for 27 years in Fairfield.
It will also be strictly takeout, so you can drive through, walk up to the window or call in your order for pick up.
