A bottle of something special

Toast to mom with an expertly-curated glass (or bottle) at Golden Age Wine. Their original Mountain Brook Village location features a bottle shop and outdoor seating, while their newer Wine Garden downtown is more of a sip-and-be-seen spot to soak in the fun atmosphere together. Both locales offer delicious charcuterie + snacks designed to complement the pours.

A dinner she won’t forget

Treat her to a culinary night out at some of Birmingham’s best in the foodie scene. Tip: Most fine dining spots are closed on Sundays, so consider an IOU for a future night out (which is also a great way to avoid the crowds!).
- Helen: Southern cuisine steeped in memories + classic flavors reimagined. Grab a seat at the bar to soak it all in, and you’ll see why this spot is gaining national recognition. Don’t miss the Angel biscuits!

- Bottega: Chef Frank Stitt is a legend in Birmingham for good reason. While he has several great options to choose from, we suggest taking mom to Bottega. Depending on your budget, you can select the classic dining room for an upscale Italian experience, or go casual at the café side for a perfect pizza straight from the wood-fired oven.
